Hasn't the weather been beautiful! I really am enjoying the warmth, with spring on its way. The daffodils, buttercups, hyacinths, flowering tulip trees, camellias, really make me realize that spring is just around the corner. Ebenezer Baptist Church had a good day Sunday. Rev. Huyck's message was "God, the Holy Spirit," taken from John 14:5-13. Ebenezer members and friends enjoyed an outing to Clifford's Restaurant Friday evening in Elbert County. They reported having a great time. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Flood recently returned home from Florida after visiting friends in St. Petersburg, Deland, and places in between. They went especially to help some friends who are ill. We are glad to hear that Shirley Armour is home after having surgery. We hope she gets well soon.
Miss Grace Dunaway was transferred to Wills Memorial Hospital recently. We sincerely wish her a speedy recovery. We were glad to see Bill Mobley back in church Sunday. Friends of Mrs. Maude Griffith will be interested in knowing she is in Heritage Nursing Facility in Athens. Miss Maude had recent surgery. We wish her well. Genna Grimaud had surgery Monday, March 13, and we wish her well. Mrs. Walter Tuttle and Mrs. Hill O'Neal were in Thomson Friday. Mrs. Tuttle visited Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Newsome, Jacob and Brandon Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Flood visited Mrs. Hal Shank Saturday. They also visited Asa Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. George Hale last week. The R.A.'s of the First Baptist Church, with their leaders, Tom Duggan, Vonice Wells, and Darrell Roth, visited Mrs. Jenelle Newsome Wednesday evening. I spent Sunday evening with my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace in Lincoln County. My brother, Garnett Wallace, also visited. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips, Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla made a business trip to Athens Friday. Laura Harper spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday nights with the Richard Phillips family while her parents were away. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips spent Saturday in Augusta. Happy birthday to JoAnn Flood, Mrs. James Lee, Mrs. Vada Hale, Mildred Peeler, and Hazel Campbell.
