The North Wilkes Steering Committee met Thursday, March 9, at the old school lunchroom.

The following members were present: Gloria Ware, Jessie Shoemaker, Margie Bunch, Cissy Rogers, Pat Grimaud, Margaret Fortson, Nobie Keener, and Carolyn Gammon.

The plans for the community yard sale were discussed and the date decided on is Saturday, May 13.

The motion was made and carried to purchase a new stove for the lunchroom, since the old stove is not in working order. More tables will also be bought.

The next meeting is set for Thursday, May 4.
