The winners of the Washington-Wilkes Middle School oratorical contest sponsored by the Optimist Club of Washington presented the March program for the club. Rashida Watson (front, left) was first place winner in the girls competition; and Rob Lovvorn (front, right) was first place boys winner. The two students will compete at the zone level in Athens March 18. Libby Swinson (back, right) is school coordinator for the contest. L. Dan Coxwell (back, left) was program chairman for the day.
