Ansley family's annual reunion set March 24-26

The Ansley Family Association will hold its annual reunion on March 24, 25, and 26, at the McDuffie Museum Building on Main Street in Thomson.

Activities begin Friday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Saturday's events include a business meeting at 9 a.m. followed by a program by Epp Wilson, member of the Museum Development Committee.

Tours planned for the afternoon include the Watson-Brown Foundation House and gardens, 2:00-3:30 p.m.; and the 1810 Country Inn and Winery, 4:00-5:30 p.m.

A catered banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

The historic Rock House, circa 1785, will be open to the public during the weekend.

The reunion will conclude with a non-denominational church service at the Wrightsboro Church in McDuffie County on Sunday, March 26, at 10 a.m.

The reunion is open to all persons of Ansley heritage. Interested persons should contact Judy A. Candler at 595-4247 for information concerning membership and reunion fees. A family newsletter is published twice yearly with updates, special announcements and genealogy articles at a cost of $10 per year.
