Farmers & Merchants donation funds new computer at W-WMS
By W-WMS SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADERS

Students in Debbie McLeod's sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes have received a very special gift - $1,000 from Farmers and Merchants Bank of Washington. The president of the bank, Jack Harvey, and vice president, Mary Donna Lunceford presented a check to Mrs. McLeod's class to pay for either a new computer or a projector. Mrs. McLeod received this donation in recognition for being Wilkes County's STAR Teacher. Mrs. McLeod and her students accepted this money on March 7 and purchased a much-needed computer. The new computer has been delivered and set up and is now in use.

This new computer is a welcome addition to the classroom at Washington Wilkes Middle School. This new computer is a welcome addition to the classroom at Washington Wilkes Middle School.
