Sasha Dawn Lance, TJ Quarles to unite in marriage on July 8

Sasha Dawn Lance TJ Quarles Sasha Dawn Lance TJ Quarles Sasha Dawn Lance of Columbia, S.C., announces her engagement to TJ Quarles, also of Columbia, S.C.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F. Lance of Washington. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Champ Lance of Blairsville and the late Edward Nicholson and Mrs. Ruth Moore, both of Hiawassee.

Miss Lance is a graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She is currently working on her Educational Specialist degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of South Carolina. Miss Lance is employed as a second grade teacher at Red Bank Elementary in Lexington, S.C.

Mr. Quarles is the son of Theodore Runyon Quarles of Houston, Tex., and Lynn Staniszewski of St. Marys. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quarles of Clarksville, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Alexander of Lyons.

He is a graduate of Robert Toombs Christian Academy in Lyons and the University of Georgia in Athens with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources. Mr. Quarles is currently employed by the Department of Army as a civilian forester at Fort Jackson, S.C.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 8, at 4 p.m.at the First United Methodist Church in Washington.
