Jill Stewart, bride-elect of Rob Thornton, was entertained at a miscellaneous shower on Sunday afternoon, March 26, given by Debbie Brown and daughter, Mandi Bates, both of Anderson, S.C., and Debbie Lindsey. The event was held at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center.

Miss Stewart was presented a corsage of daisies to complement her brown two-piece ensemble.

As guests arrived, they signed the guest book at a table decorated with a vase of colorful tulips. Covering this table, the refreshment table and gift table were white Army-Navy cloths.

The refreshment table was centered with a colorful spring arrangement of redbud blossoms, purple iris, Gerber daisies, eucalyptus, lime green pompons, roses and greenery. From the table guests enjoyed an assortment of delicious cakes, cheese straws, toasted nuts, lemon bars and punch. Pink camellias surrounded the punch bowl.

A grouping of white wicker furniture provided an area for the brideelect to greet her guests and open gifts.

The hostesses presented Miss Stewart a cup and saucer in her Christmas pattern.

Approximately 50 family members and friends attended. Special guests included the bride-elect's mother, Jerri Ann Stewart of Washington, and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Alice Thornton of Sandy Cross.
