The Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Class of 2000 had its five-year reunion on Saturday evening, March 11, at The Washington Jockey Club on The Square in Downtown Washington.

For the event the upstairs ballroom was decorated with white lights, balloons and lush ferns.

As guests entered the ballroom, they noted a side table which held a fern, a picture of Jerry Brown and a candle lighted in his memory. Mr. Brown, a classmate, died in 2002. On the table as well was an array of old yearbooks that allowed guests to reminisce about the "good ole days".

Benji Lewis of Statesboro, fianc of Daisy Thornton, allowed the reminiscing to continue throughout the evening as he provided his DJ services, spinning all the best tunes from the 1980s and 1990s.

Guests enjoyed an "elaborate spread" of delicious food during the evening.
