Engaged couple Morgan McAvoy and Tim Echols were honored at a dinner and family shower on Saturday evening, March 18, at the Washington Jockey Club. Hosts for the occasion were Mrs. George Norman, Anna Norman, Mal Heaton of Molton, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Norman, Kaitlyn and Kindler, of Grayson.

Miss McAvoy was lovely in a black two-piece ensemble. She was presented a corsage of spring flowers.

For dinner, the table held colorful cutflowers with three hurricane candlesticks interspersed.

The hosts presented the couple their chosen canister set. The couple in turn presented gifts to their hosts.

Present in addition to the couple and hosts were the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David McAvoy, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin McAvoy of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. John Yochim of Tignall.
