Engaged couple honored at His and Hers Shower Mar. 18
Jessica Kessler and Ryan Wheatley of Valdosta, whose wedding will be an event of June 10 in Guyton, were honored at a His and Hers Shower on Saturday, March 18, in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Washington.
Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. David Cravens and The Seekers Circle of the First United Methodist Church.
The bride-elect wore light blue slacks and a three-quarter sleeve white sweater for the occasion. She was presented a white camellia corsage accented with greenery and tulle and tied with white ribbon.
A potted white azalea marked the entrance to the fellowship hall.
As guests entered, they signed the registry placed on a small table covered with white embroidered linen. A cutglass vase of pink tulips and a dish of butter cream mints decorated the table.
The buffet tables, covered in white draped linens, were centered with a large crystal vase of pink tulips, pear blossoms and white camellias.
Delicious breakfast brunch items included quiche tarts, sausage balls, orange muffins and rolls, cinnamon swirls, fruit trays and orange punch with a floating strawberry Ginger Ale ice mold.
Miss Kessler and Mr. Wheatley presented the hostesses with gifts.
Many family members and friends attended the joyous occasion.
