Jackson is promoted to SMSgt, stationed in Bahrain with 609th
SMSgt MONTE JACKSON Monte (Jake) Jackson has been promoted to Senior Master Sergeant/ E-8 (SMSgt).
SMSgt. Jackson is a member of the Class of 1987 at WashingtonWilkes Comprehensive High School and is currently stationed in Manama, Bahrain, where he is superintendent of war reserve material and is assigned to the 609th Air Support Squadron. In this selectively staffed position, he manages the prepositioned war reserve material at one of five sites in the United States Central Command Air Force Area of Responsibility valued at $4.1 billion. He is also directly responsible for overseeing caretaker contracto actions on a deep storage and reconstitution contract valued at $126 million. Jackson's duties directly support the Joint Chiefs of Staff directed contingency operations and mobility exercises.
SMSgt Jackson grew up in Washington and entered the Air Force in April 1988. His wife Paul is also a Senior Masater Sergeant in the Air Force, stationed at Hurlburt Field, Fla., where she is the superintendent of the management and Systems Flight.
They have two daughters, Whitney, 20; and Raven, 15.
Jackson is the son of Eddie Maddox and Emma Lewis, both of Washington. He credits his wife, his parents, and other family members with his success in the Air Force.
