Charlie Lee Anderson
Funeral services for Charlie Lee Anderson, 87, were held Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the Mulberry Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Robert L. Crawford and Rev. Herman Glaze officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, March 17, in Wills Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Anderson was the son of the late Tas and Hattie Lou Anderson. He was retired from Hogan Sawmill Company where he was employed as a logger. His wife was the late Joe Hazel Tutt Anderson.
Survivors include 10 children, Hattie Mae Anderson, Peggy Harris, Claudine Anderson, all of Lincolnton, Louise Huff, Brenda Willis, Sylvester Anderson, Curtis Lee Anderson, all of Tignall, Betty Jean Norman and Shirley Allen, both of Washington, and Bessie Mae Walker, Atlanta; three sisters, Allene Ardister, Elberton, Odessa Stokes, Thomson, and Louree Sims, Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Doyle Anderson, Elberton; 18 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Terry Reid, Chris Reid, Jerry Smith, Roy Smith, Dusty Anderson, and Arthur Willis.
Davenport-McLendon Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
