Graveside services for Susan Smith Patterson, 91, of Milledgeville will be held Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Americus, with her great-nephew, Rev. George E. (Chip) Wilson, officiating. She died Monday, March 20, at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville.

Mrs. Patterson was a native of Wilkes County, and was the daughter of the late Harry Mershon Smith and the late Susan Mary Smith of Washington. She was a retired x-ray technician, and for four years was a sergeant in the Army Medical Corps. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Three L Club in Americus, and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Americus.

Survivors include three nieces, Susan Pool of Kingsport, Tenn., Joan Carter Winter, Atlanta, and Lynn Roberts, Winder; and a nephew, Wilfred B. Smith of Albany.

Hancock Funeral Home of Americus was in charge of arrangements.
