Graveside services for James Reese Dunson, 70, of Dallas, Texas, were held Friday, March 24, 2006, in the Mallorysville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Berry officiating. He died Monday, March 20, in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Dunson was a native of Georgia. When he was 20 years old, he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, where he met his first wife. After he was discharged in 1961, he moved his new family to the United States where they settled in Tignall. He started his own business and was a successful painting contractor for many years.

Survivors include a sister, Ella Guthrie; a brother, Guy Dunson; three children, Rohn, Tami, and John; a stepson, Beau; and three grandchildren.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
