Hilliard Station Baptist Church will celebrate the anniversary of the pastor, Rev. Dwight Foster, on Sunday, April 23. Dinner will be served after the service.

Bethlehem Baptist Church will celebrate the sixth anniversary of the pastor, Rev. R.C. Lockhart, on Sunday, April 16, 11:30 a.m. with Rev. B.Z. Daniels as speaker. Dinner will be served.

The Fishing Creek Baptist Youth Group will have a spaghetti supper on April 22, 6 p.m., at the church. Plates will be $6.00 each. Proceeds will help fund a youth conference.

The Georgia Sheriffs Association, U.S. Rider News, Harris Custom Cycles, and Flames of Steel will give away a "New Sheriff" 2006 Custom Bike to a lucky ticket holder on November 4. Tickets are $2.00 each or 15 for $20.00 and may be purchased at the Wilkes County Sheriff's Department, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Funds raised will benefit the Georgia Sheriffs Association, sponsors of the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes. The bike will be given away at the "Toys for Boys" Bike Ride in Swainsboro. You do not have to be present to win and must be 18 years of age or older to win.

New Saints CME Church, 515 Baltimore Road, Washington, will have the April SNAP meeting Saturday, April 15, 10 a.m. The next meeting will be April 22.

Tickets are being sold for a chance to win a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee on June 30. Proceeds will benefit the family of the late Eydee McClain. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased at Fievet Pharmacy in Washington. A minimum of 200 tickets must be sold or the raffle will be delayed.

Beulah Baptist Church will hold a special fund-raising event for the new family life center building on April 29, at 6 p.m. The event will be a fish fry with all the trimmings and will be held next door to the church at the Beulah Fire Department.
