A young woman who stirs hearts with her description of a visit to heaven, and a rocking praise band from Thomson will highlight a youth night that will touch hearts in a very non-church setting.

Saturday night, April 15 - the night before Easter - at 6 p.m., the Christian band Face to Face will kick off the evening at the Court Street Livery Gallery, across from the Old Jail on West Court Street just off The Square. The Court Street Livery was once the mule barn for The Fitzpatrick Hotel, but has been remodeled to serve as a gallery and events venue.

Between sets, Shannon Ridgeway will give a multimedia presentation about the day she died in an accident and went to heaven. "She uses this incredible story to motivate people to get a real relationship with God," said organizer Tena Blakey. She's just in her 20s, and she travels everywhere telling her story - she spoke to the Washington Rotary not long ago. I've heard her story is absolutely phenomenal."

Face to Face, from Thomson First United Methodist Church, will play a second set after her presentation.

There is no charge for admission, but a love offering will be taken to cover expenses, Blakey said. Snacks will be available for sale.
