Washington Presbyterian sets special Easter time programs
The Washington Presbyterian Church has plans for three events leading up to the special Easter Sunday worship service at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 16.
Palm Sunday services will be held on Sunday, April 9, and will include the celebration of the sacrament of The Lord's Supper. There will be a covered-dish luncheon in the fellowship hall following this service.
The Maundy Thursday service on April 13 at 7 p.m. will include Holy Communion. For more than 65 years, Mrs. Charles N. Hodgson has hosted the church's annual Easter egg hunt. Once again, this special event will be held at her home at 108 Water Street on Saturday, April 15, at 2 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, the sanctuary of the church will be bedecked with Easter lilies donated in honor of or in memory of loved ones.
"We look forward to these events in our church and hope that anyone interested will join us," says the pastor, Rev. Randy Hardy.
