Funeral services for Paul Barnett Moss, 81, of Washington were held Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Ficklen Guinn officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington. He died Saturday, April 1, in Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.

Mr. Moss was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Quinn Moss and Kittie Barnett Moss. He was the widower of Mildred Fanning Moss and was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight.

Survivors include a daughter, Paula M. Halford, Hampton; a son, James Moss, West Virginia; five sisters, Josephine Johnson, Christine Moss, and Helen Moss, North Augusta, S.C., Elizabeth M. Norris, Orlando, Fla., and Eloise M. Moone, Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
