Willsbary's May Fest set for May on the lawn at Mary Wills Library

2006-04-06 / News

The annual Willsbary's May Fest will be held Friday, May 5, on the lawn of the Mary Willis Library.

Willsbary's May Fest is sponsored by the Friends of the Mary Willis Library and is the group's only fundraiser of the year. The Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Friends are busy preparing by collecting books, potting plants, and planning for the baked goods sale. An appeal goes out to the community for donations of books, baked goods, and potted plants. Books may be dropped off at the library until May 4. Plants and baked goods need to be at the library before 10 a.m. on May 5.

The community has made this fund-raiser a great success by donations and shopping at the May Fest. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new books and materials, assist with children's programs (most notably the Summer Vacation Reading Program), and to sponsor speakers, exhibits, and cultural activities.
