Alexis Gioia, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Gioia of Vidalia, was four years old on March 6 and celebrated on several occasions.

Alexis first celebrated two weeks before her birthday while vacationing with her family at Lake Tahoe in Squaw Valley, Calif. Alexis spent the week snow tubing and ice skating at Squaw Valley Creek Resort and dog sledding through the snowy trails in North Lake Tahoe.

On her final night in California, Alexis was treated by her parents to a birthday celebration at Montagna's Italian Cuisine.

Alexis then celebrated at her home in Vidalia on March 4 with a "Let it Snow" party. After a "snowfall" on the front lawn, guests enjoyed playing in the igloos and sliding down the hill with sleds. Following an afternoon of winter wonderland snow play, Snowgirl cake, snow ice cream and snow pops were served.

Favors were snowman whistles, snowflake balls, mitten notepads and marshmallow snowmen.

Joining Alexis and her parents were her brothers, Jarrett Truitt and Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Truitt and Lucas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Wolter of Washington; Mrs. Kerry McAvoy, Mrs. Bob Holley and Alyssa, Mrs. John Bailey, John David, Garner and Reese, of Washington, Mrs. Richard DuBois of Crawfordville, Tyler Dawkins of Lincolnton, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Banks, Elizabeth, John and Matthew, Mrs. David Hodges, Abigail, John and Daniel, Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Braddy and Briley, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Meadows, Tom and Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Peterson and Sara Jane, Mrs. Rob Huber and Reagan, Makeena Cross and Selena Ogrodoski, all of Vidalia.

On her birthday, Alexis and her neighbors enjoyed games of Pin the Goggles on the Polar Bear, Snowman Beanbag Toss and Snowman Darts. Afterwards, the children enjoyed Alpine hot cocoa.

Later that night everyone enjoyed a marshmallow roast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Banks in Vidalia.
