Amy McAvoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard McAvoy, celebrated her ninth birthday on March 3 and was honored on two occasions.

Amy celebrated at her home on her birthday with her family. Everyone enjoyed a spaghetti dinner, cake, ice cream and drinks. With Amy and her parents were grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wheatley; her greatgrandmother, Mrs. Carl Sisson; and Chris McAvoy.

Amy was treated on March 11 at a party with all her friends. Cake, ice cream and juice were served. After refreshments Amy and friends enjoyed playing with Silly String, riding in a trailer behind the fourwheeler and playing in the tree house.

Celebrating with Amy and her parents were Mrs. Bobby Standard and Brooke, Cristan Chafin, Rebekah Hubbard, Elizabeth West and Molly Barrow. Class members celebrate group birthday party

The Adult Bible Searchers Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church enjoyed a fellowship in the Mary Burton Callaway Fellowship Hall Saturday evening, March 25.

The occasion was to honor all class members, spouses and guests who had birthdays January-March. January birthdays honored were Sharon Williamson, 9th ; Kay Nelms, 10th; Lynne Land, 11th; Ray Moore, 13th; Wayne Williamson, 20th, and Susan Pope, 28th. February birthdays were Gary Mansfield, 19th; Benjie Edwards, 24th; and Donna Edwards, 27th and March birthdays were Edward Pope Jr., 4 th; Louise McClearen, 5th; Dan Coxwell, 20th; and Pug Nelms, 22nd.

Festive party cloths and colorful balloons were used to decorate the table filled with sandwiches with delicious accompaniments, chips and onion dip, taco dip with nachos and assorted beverages.

After dinner, several birthday games were enjoyed with much hilarity as it was soon realized that many had celebrated too many birthdays to participate with much agility.

"Happy Birthday" was sung and festive birthday cake and coffee were served.

Party favors were given to those honored.

Teresa Bishop planned the event for the class.
