The Lunch and Learn Club met at the Rayle City Hall Wednesday, March 22.

Peggy Echols called the meeting to order. Scripture and a letter from God were read and the prayer was offered by Fran Thaxton. The treasurer's report was given by Shirley Chafin and Bonnie Boatwright gave the secretary's report.

There was discussion and plans were made. Cards were sent out. After the brief meeting, everyone got in two cars for a trip to Athens. A wonderful lunch and fellowship were enjoyed by all at the Peking Chinese restaurant. Everyone was glad to see Mary Bowick and Michele Porterfield who were celebrating their recent birthdays at the table beside them.

Members going were Peggy Echols, Shirley Chafin, Fran Thaxton, Sudie Kennedy, Ann Williamson, Doris Smathers and Bonnie Boatwright. The ones who did not go were missed and we hope they will be back soon.

The next meeting will be April 26 and all ladies are invited.
