NBA Club gets two treats in one
High school atheltes visited Washington-Wilkes Primary School last week to play an exihibition basketball game for some special students. Members of the NBA Club (Never Been Absent) got to take a break from their usual study to watch the game and visit with the W-WCHS students. The NBA Club is an attendance incentive for students who have never been absent (tardy or dismissed early) during the last 6-week grading period. High school athletes pictured above are (l-r) Lindsey Guin, Ricola Patterson, Tevin Turman, D.J. Willis, Kita Williams, Haley Ward, Coach Jackson Calhoun, and Gary Wilburn. Washington-Wilkes Primay School expressed its thanks to Coach Calhoun, Andrew Jackson, and Coach Russell Morgan for their help with this program. And a HUGE thanks goes to Sue Hall, manager of Pizza Hut, for giving each MBA member a certificate for a free pizza.
