Drunk driving, aggravated assault lead April arrests

Drunk driving and aggravated assault return as April's most common arrests, with drug possession and license problems keeping pace for the month.

A roundup of arrests for the month of April includes the following:

Juan Pablo Ramirez, 23, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 30 by Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving while under the influence, a driver's license violation, and a driving violation. He was held on $1,004 bond.

Rodolfo Garcia, 23, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 30 by Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence, and with a driver's license violation. He was released on $849 bond.

Brian Wesley Weaver, 22, of Martinez, was arrested April 28 by Washington police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and speeding. He was released on $3,490 bond.

Gary Cade, 42, of Tignall, was arrested April 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with a probation violation.

Gregory Ward, 44, of Atlanta, was arrested April 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released on $595 bond.

Kelsey V. Hawes, 21, of Lincolnton, was arrested April 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was released on payment of a cash fine.

Calvin Smith, 34, of Lincolnton, was arrested April 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and speeding. He was released on a cash bond.

Justino Jimenez, 22, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 27 by Georgia State troopers and charged with violation of a requirement to surrender prior licenses. He was released on $183 bond.

Jonathan Booker, 27, of Washington, was arrested April 24 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with four counts of forgery in the first degree. He was released on $20,000 bond.

Bennie Goolsby, 54, of Washington, was arrested April 23 by Washington police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and with a traffic violation. He was released on $1,750 bond.

Kenneth Scott Fletcher, 36, of Philomath, was arrested April 21 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with a probation violation.

James Randall, 43, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 21 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with a probation violation.

Richard A. Drinkard, 52, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 20 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with alteration of license plates, driving with no insurance, and driving without a license on hand. He was released on $493 bond.

Sammie Wright, 17, of Lincolnton, was arrested April 20 by Washington police and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was released on $600 bond.

Derrick Jones, 20, of Lincolnton, was arrested April 20 by Washington police and charged with underage possession of alcohol. He was released on $600 bond.

Javier Andrade, 24, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 14 by Georgia State troopers and charged with speeding and violation of a driver's license requirement. He was released on $273 bond.

Tony Demitrice Simmons, 39, of Washington, was arrested April 14 by Washington police and charged with simple battery. He was released on $3,500 bond.

Michael Anthony Osborne, 20, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 14 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with burglary and forgery in the first degree. No bond was noted.

Tonya Marie Hulsey, 21, of Wilkes County, was arrested April 14 by Washington police and charged with theft by taking. She was released on $3,000 bond.

Rhonda L. Gresham, 31, of Washington, was arrested April 14 by Washington police and charged with obstruction or hindering law officers. She was released on $1,132 bond.

Dennis Blackmon, 22, of Washington, was arrested April 9 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with two counts of felony theft by taking. He was held on $16,000 bond.
