High school seniors may apply for an honorarium sponsored by the Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA).

Students applying must plan to attend a college or a vocational school for the 2006-2007 academic year; and must write a 250-500 word essay on "The Importance of Furthering My Education."

Students applying should provide a cover page with name, date, name of high school, and the name of the college or vocational school which they plan to attend.

The deadline for the essay to be submitted to high school counselors is Wednesday, May 10.
