The Lunch and Learn Club met Wednesday, April 26, at Rayle City Hall at 10 a.m. with 11 members present.

Peggy Echols opened the meeting and presided over it. Doris Smathers led in the opening prayer. Fran Thaxton read scripture from John 15: 12-17, and a wonderful story "For a Friend." Shirley Chafin gave the treasurer's report and Bonnie Boatwright gave the secretary's report.

Old business and new business were discussed and cards were sent out to the sick and bereaved. Everyone had fun painting a wooden butterfly to hang on a wall and every one of them was different and all were real pretty.

A delicious meal was enjoyed by all who came and plates were fixed for two families in the community and taken to them.

Attending were Peggy Echols, Christine Wheatley, Shirley Chafin, Fran Thaxton, Betty Winfrey, Mildred Sisson, Ann Williamson, Sudie Kennedy, Doris Smathers, Diane Tiller, and Bonnie Boatwright. The ones who couldn't come were greatly missed and it is hoped that they will be back very soon.
