We had a nice day at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday with good attendance for both morning and evening services. Rev. Donnie Walton preached very inspiring messages. That evening a group from the Wilkes County Baptist Church, including their pastor, Rev. Butch Jackson, his wife and daughter, attended and also several other visitors came. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Evans Davis Tuesday afternoon were Mrs. Bill Scoggins, Hannah and her cousin, Stephanie Scoggins of Augusta, and Mrs. Lois Poss. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lance of Fort Oglethorpe came Wednesday and attended prayer meeting at the First Baptist Church, Washington, with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance. On Thursday, Bonner's Restaurant near Burkehead in Morgan County was the scene of a family gathering to celebrate the April birthdays of Chris, Guy, and John Lance. Those attending were Boyce Lance, Chris Lance, Dr. and Mrs. Clarence Lance, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lance, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lance, Jamie Atkinson, Rev. and Mrs. John Lance, and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance. After having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance Saturday, Dr. and Mrs. Clarence Lance left to attend a missionary rally in South Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bradford of Thomson visited Mrs. Juanita Bradford Wednesday. Ann Caldwell of Statesboro spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and attended services with them at Clifford's Grove Sunday morning. She also spent time with Whitney and Charlie Branham. Roger Wilkinson of Glennville visited Mrs. Iris Dyson Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hopkins of Elberton visited Saturday afternoon. David Hopkins of Augusta and grandson, Seth Cook, visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer Saturday morning.
