Annie Marilyn Young

Funeral services for Annie Marilyn Young, 58, of Washington, were held Thursday, April 27, at Clifford Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, with Pastor A.J. Richardson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died April 20 at Doctors Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Young was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Lucious and Rosa Mattox. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She attended school in Wilkes County. Survivors include her husband,

Willie C. Young; her children, Jennifer Chapman, Sonja Perlotte, Willie F. Young, and Shanta Young; other children reared in her home, Tayana Mahoney, Atline Harris, and Katrina Bell; two brothers, Eugene Mattox and Ronnie Martin; two sisters, Virginia Mattox and Rosa Hubbard.

Pallbearers included Marion D. Williams, Eric Mahoney, David Hubbard, Demetrius Hardeman, Stanley Hampton, and Vernon Anthony.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
