James Samuel Daniels Funeral services for James Samuel Daniels, 57, of Tignall, were held Sunday, April 30, 2006, at the Reeves Chapel Baptist Church, Tignall, with Rev. Michael W. Gresham officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died April 25 at his home. Mr. Daniels was born to James Garries and Susie M. Daniels of Seaford, Delaware. He was a member of the Reeves Chapel Baptist Church. He was a meat cutter for L&L Superette in Tignall for a number of years, and was also employed by the United States Post Office. Survivors include his wife, Hazel F. Daniel of Tignall; three children, Samuel D. Daniels and Yolanda M. Daniels, Augusta, and Pamela Hodge of Athens; a grandson, Tramad Daniels of Tignall; three granddaughters, Monique Miller, Teka Miller and Rika Miller of Athens; his mother, Susie M. Daniels of Philomath; a brother, Fleming Daniels, Philomath; and two sisters, Lavonia Daniels of Philomath, and Fannie Daniels of Washington. Pallbearers included George Bankston Jr., James Bankston, Bobby Daniels, Clarence Daniels, Johnny C. Daniels, Melvin Daniels, and Rodney Robbins. Davenport-McLendon Mortuary of Washington was in charge of arrangements. |
