Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. (Joey) Scott III of Dearing announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Grace, on Monday, April 24, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Emma Grace weighed 7 lbs. 2 ozs. She has a sister, Summer, who is four years old.

Maternal grandparents are Victor James of Washington and Mrs. Pat Batchelor of Eatonton. Maternal great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard James and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith, all of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Scott Jr. of Thomson. Paternal great-grandparents are Mrs. Sarah Standard and the late Haynes Standard of Danburg and Mrs. Camilla Scott and the late Joe Scott of Washington.

Mrs. Scott is the former Shannon James of Washington.
