Ellen Faires Barnes to wed Lemuel Robert LeRoy July 8
Ellen Faires Barnes Lemuel Robert LeRoy Dr. and Mrs. Clay Barnes of Charlotte, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ellen Faires, to Lemuel Robert LeRoy, also of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Tignall, son of Rev. and Mrs. Albert W. Huyck Jr. and the late Robert (Bob ) LeRoy of Tignall.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Alton Faires and the late Mrs. Jeanne Faires of Charlotte, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Barnes of New Port Richey, Fla.
She is a graduate of United Faith Christian Academy in Charlotte, N.C., and Cumberland College in Kentucky where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Elementary Education. Miss Barnes is employed as a Special Education Teacher in Union County, N.C.
Mr. LeRoy is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reece Glenn and the late Mr. and Mrs. E.R. LeRoy of Tignall.
He is a graduate of WashingtonWilkes Comprehensive High School in Washington and the University of Georgia in Athens where he earned a Bachelor of Music. Mr. LeRoy is Associate Pastor of Worship at Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews, N.C.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church in Matthews, N.C.
