Rotarians win top honors at district conference

The Washington Rotary Club was the top award winner at the District Conference held at Myrtle Beach late last month. The club was awarded the prestigious "Club of the Year" plaque for its category as well as other distinctions. In the top photo above, the entire club is shown with the award. Service Award and Skeet Willingham displays the Community Service Award. The foursome of Michael Horgan, Donnie Smith, Bill Amis, and Bobby Jones (right) won first place in the district golf tournament at Myrtle Beach. Additionally, Michael Horgan was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by District Governor Diane Cammarata, and Donnie Smith received the Presidential Citation.
