Seaborn Thomas Callaway Jr.
Graveside services for Seaborn Thomas (S.T.) Callaway Jr., 86, of Washington, will be held Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 11 a.m., in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Albert Huyck Jr. officiating. He died Monday, May 8, at Wilkes Health Care Center, Washington.
Mr. Callaway was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late S.T. Callaway and Gertrude Sherrer Callaway. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Washington, and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He had retired as a farm equipment salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Crooke Callaway, Washington;
two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Jayne Callaway, and David and Karen Callaway, both of Rayle; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Merrill W. Callaway, Warrenton.
Pallbearers include Brandon Callaway, Graham Callaway, Will Long, Nathan Phillips, Darrell Roth, and Jeff Crooke.
