Funeral services for Fannie Mat Walton Clark, 79, of Tignall were held Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the New Ford Baptist Church, Tignall, with Rev. James White officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. She died Wednesday, May 3, in the University Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Clark was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Gordon Walton and Lorina Bradley Walton. She was a member of the New Ford Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin McNeal Clark, Tignall; six children, Gordon Walton, Carolyn Clark, and Jeanie Gartrell, all of Tignall, Joan Beard, Augusta, Melody Clark, Hope Mills, N.C., and Randy Clark, Tignall; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
