Funeral services for Louise (Sis) Bumgardner Danner, 72, of Washington were held Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Fishing Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cates officiating. She died Sunday, May 7, at her home.

Mrs. Danner was a native of Shelby, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Charles and Callie Falls Bumgardner. She was the widow of D.S. Danner. She was a member of Fishing Creek Baptist Church where she served as church clerk and teacher for the Adult Sunday School Class for many years. She retired from Belk Inc. where she worked as a sales clerk. Survivors include two sons, David

Danner and Leonard Danner, both of Washington; a daughter, Kathy Danner, Athens; and a brother, Grady Bumgardner, Orlando, Fla.

Pallbearers included Jeff Daniel, Dan Sisson, Larry Head, David Denard, Mark Walker, and Doug Stevens. The deacons of Fishing Creek Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
