A dessert party honoring Heline and Jean-Marie Mutschler-Clor from LeTremblay Sur Manldra, France, was enjoyed Sunday, May 7, at the home of hosts, Louise and Ross Maynard, on the North ByPass East. The Maynards were assisted by their long-time friends, Bill and Mary Leinmiller of Ellijay.

The honored guests are the proud parents of Guillaume Slama and are visiting their son and his wife, Sokum, at their home, Lafayette Manor. This is their first visit since the Salamas moved into their new home.

The couple, John and Elaine, their American names, made the trip to the United States from their home near Paris, France, for Guillaume Slama's graduation ceremony at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta Saturday, May 13. Guests arrived at the Maynard

home on Sunday afternoon to a dessert filled dining room. Desserts included Raspberry Trifle, Chocolate Cherry Trifle, Lemon Raspberry Cake, Strawberry Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Praline Brownies, Chocolate Fudge, Lemon Bars, Pralines by Louise McClearen, Pecan Goodies by Gail Boyd, and fresh strawberries with Kahlua. Champagne punch and coffee completed the soire.

Guests included many who have had the privilege of dining at Lafayette Manor and enjoying the fine cuisine prepared by Sokun and served by Guillaume.

Many guests expressed their appreciation for the contribution this couple has already made to Washington.

The guests of honor were enchanted with the Southern hospitality shown in such a wonderful town.
