Wesley D. Pope treated to third birthday cookout
Wesley Duncan Pope, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope III, celebrated his third birthday at a cookout at his home on Water Street Saturday, April 15. His birthday was April 21.
Wesley was treated to a dump truck theme party. His birthday cake, topped with different types of dump trucks, was enjoyed with ice cream after a lunch of hot dogs and chili, baked beans, fruit, deviled eggs, and potato salad.
After lunch Wesley and his cousins, Anna and Caroline Gentry, enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt at the home of Mrs. Charles HPodgson. Upon returning home, they celebrated with another backyard egg hunt, played in his sandbox and in the yard.
Party favors included bunny ears, bubbles and gel stickers.
Celebrating with Wesley and his parents were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duncan of Travelers Rest, S.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr. of Washington; and his aunt and cousins, Mrs. John Gentry, Anna and Caroline, of Athens.
On his birthday Wesley shared SpongeBob Squarepants cupcakes with his classmates at the First United Methodist Preschool in Thomson.
