Morgan McAvoy and Tim Echols were honored at a lawn and garden shower on Saturday evening, April 29, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Bennett on Pecan Grove Road. Cohosts with the Bennetts were Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Newberry, Mr. and Mrs. Marty Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Waller.

The bride-elect was presented a veil accented with mini garden tools and flowers.

Guests gathered around the pool area decorated with tiki torches and ferns. Guest tables around the pool were covered in white linen and topped with yellow and blue denim

toile overlays. Centering each table were gardens items given as gifts to the couple by the hosts.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner menu of low country boil, green jacket salad, grilled chicken wings and desserts of lemon squares, peanut butter balls, sandies, fudge and divinity. Tea and lemonade were also served.

Approximately 65 guests attended. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Yochim, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin McAvoy, Mr. and Mrs. David McAvoy, and Mr. and Mrs. Neill Echols.
