Rosemarie Seymour marries Benny Allen Johnson Apr. 29
Rosemarie Seymour and Benny Allen Johnson of Tignall exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring outdoor ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Huffman in Washington on Saturday, April 29, at seven-thirty o'clock in the evening. The Honorable Chip Hardin of Washington officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Clubb of Washington.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Johnson of Tignall.
The walkway marking the entrance of the couple was lined with candlelighted wrought iron lanterns and torches. Torches and floating candles decorated the pool area. Candles and greenery lined the porch railings with grapevine wreaths and fresh hydrangeas on the doorways and gate entering the pool area.
Mrs. Darren Pharr of Washington, keyboardist, provided the wedding music and accompanied soloist, Darren Pharr, also of Washington.
The bride was lovely in a Spencer Alexis champagne two-piece lace and silk ankle-length skirt and tunic adorned with pearl accents. Reception
Following the ceremony the Huffman home was the setting of a candlelight outdoor reception.
The wedding cake, made by Mrs. Scott Williamson, was a three-tiered square confection featuring a "J" monogram, and was placed in a gazebo filled with candlelight.
The food table, overlaid in white, featured votive candle centerpieces of fresh cut spring flowers in tall cone-shaped ivory vases. The flowers were a special gift from Amanda Simpkins of Warrenton.
Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet catered by Mandy Whisnant of Washington as a wedding gift to the couple.
Following a wedding trip to Atlanta, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are making their home in Tignall.
About 75 guests attended. Out-of-town guests included the bride's son, Adam Godfrey of St. Simons Island; the bridegroom's daughter, Savana Johnson of Nicholson; Mr. and Mrs. Toby Clubb, Jarrett and Payne of Macon, Jim Clubb of Rome, Mrs. Pamela Russ, Mrs. Kristina Barker, Cliff Curtis, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lentz of Missouri, Amanda Simpkins of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Ingram of Nicholson, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Andrews of Thomson, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Amburgey, Brandy, Kayla and Candace, of Elberton, Donald Duckworth of Columbia, S.C., Nat Newsome of Augusta; and Michael Bailey of Athens.
Rehearsal Dinner
Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Huffman entertained at a rehearsal dinner at their home in honor of Rosemarie Seymour and Benny Johnson on the eve of their wedding.
Guests enjoyed grilled steaks, twice-baked potatoes, tossed garden salad and yeast rolls.
During the evening the prospective bridegroom presented his brideelect a beautiful antique sterling silver cuff bracelet engraved with their names and wedding date. The brideelect presented him a Bible with his name and wedding date imprinted on the cover.
The bride-elect also presented all her girlfriends who assisted with the wedding beach bags with monogrammed beach towels and matching cups. Other special gifts were also presented at this time.
