The Washington Woman's Club is accepting applications for the Nettles-Dillard Scholarship.

The $1000 scholarship is awarded annually and is aimed primarily at adults who want to upgrade their skills and education.

Applicants must be high school graduates, residents of Wilkes County and have been accepted by an accredited college or technical school.

Applications with instructions are available at the Mary Willis Library and Chamber of Commerce. They may also be obtained by contacting Woman's Club member, Sharleen Anderson at 706-285-2191.

Applications must be returned by June 1, 2006.
