Who can forget the excitement Tyrekus Bowman brought to the basketball court in 2004 as he led the WW Tigers into the playoffs. What to these names bring to mind? - Tyrekus "A.J." Bowman, Franchot Brown, Lazarus Chennault, Jamaal Binns, Andrew Jackson, and Denorio Quinn.

If you still don't know, add Dantay Leverett, Scott Checki, and

Delveccio Wilburn to the list you you'll know that it's a roster of some of the great Washington-Wilkes basketball players from this year and years past. Wouldn't it be great to see them on the court shooting hoops just one more time?

That's gonna happen on Memorial Day weekend.

On Saturday, May 27, all those guys and maybe more will team up and coach themselves as they challenge the 2006-2007 Tigers in the first-ever Washington-Wilkes Alumni Basketball Game.

Tiger head basketball coach Don Keiser has announced that the game will be played at the W-WES gym beginning at 7 p.m. and he will be coaching his own Tigers while the alumni are on their own.

Admission to the game will be $5.00 and concessions will be available.
