Special day set at Church of Christ

Washington Mayor Willie Burns (center) signs a proclamation declaring Sunday, May 14, Church of Christ Day in Washington-Wilkes. Present for the signing were Minister James Pritchard (left) and Retired Minister Johnny Joe Mitchell of the Lexington Avenue Church of Christ, Washington. Activities at the Lexington Avenue Church Sunday will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., followed by the morning service at 11:15 a.m. with Clyde Rouzan, Minister of the Main Street Church of Christ in Williston, S.C., as the speaker. Dinner will be served at 12:30. The church's fellowship hall will be dedicated at 2 p.m., and the afternoon program will begin at 2:30 with Johnny Kinsey of the Grace Street Church of Christ in Augusta as the speaker. There will be a song service featuring The Inspirations of Augusta.
