The Good Ole Summertime Tent Crusade/Revival IX will be held June 4-9, once again at the junction of the Sandtown Road and Georgia Highway 17 (on the south side of Tignall).

A prayer meeting in preparation for the tent crusade will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 7 p.m., at the Sardis Baptist Church near Rayle. Previous such prayer meetings were held at the Wilkes County Baptist Church May 2, and the Clark's Station Baptist Church, May 9. Two fund-raisers are planned at

the Tignall gym on Independence Street. A chicken barbecue will be held on Saturday, May 20, from 4:30-5:35 p.m., at a cost of $6.00 per plate. Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be an auction. Rev. Roy Cates GA LIC #2780, will be the auctioneer, with Gary Hilborn of New York the seller.

General merchandise, fishing equipment, tools, home baked cakes and pies will be available for bidding. All items will be new and guaranteed. Payment should be made by cash or approved check.
