Gary Ward, an aerobatics pilot from Lincolnton, Georgia, spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Washington at its regular Tuesday lunch meeting on May 16. Ward, a Georgia Tech Aerospace Engineering graduate and avid aviator since his early teens, related a number of interesting stories describing his experiences as an aerobatics pilot. He showed a DVD of recent air show acrobatics in his Giles G-202 carbon fiber monoplane - which demonstrated tumbles, snaps, torque rolls, flat spins etc. Marion Barnett (right) was program host for the day.
