Bachelorette party weekend held in honor of Beth Lannae
Bride-elect Beth Lannae was honored with an unusual overnight bachelorette party Easter weekend given by her sister, Amy Lannae of Athens, and childhood friends, Mary Ellen Lindsey of Charlotte, N.C., and Katy Sisson Meech of Washington.
Festivities were held at Holly Court Inn, a location that had special significance for the bride-elect since it was the former home of her great-grandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. R.R. Johnson.
Miss Lannae wore a black halter top and black and white pants. She was presented a bridal veil made by Lauren Lindsey Fowler.
Upon arrival, guests were invited onto the lawn for appetizers and drinks.
A grand seafood dinner, prepared by Joe Barnett and Phil Rothman, included favorites of the bride-elect, boiled shrimp, stuffed potatoes, salad, breads, and strawberry cake.
A dinner highlight also was Mr. Barnett's special Georgia Crab Cracker Soup.
Wildflowers were used in decorating the tables for the outdoor affair.
The "girls" enjoyed breakfast the following morning in the formal dining room.
Joining the bride-elect and hostesses were bridesmaids and childhood friends, Jennifer Shattock of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Anne Fievet Lamb and Catherine Fievet Blunt of Austin, Tex.; Hillary Lindsey of Nashville, Tenn.; Lauren Lindsey Fowler of Statesboro; Taylor Lindsey of Macon; Terri Hammond of Crawford; Ann Finney Hunt of Watkinsville; Trudy George Gallo and Rhonda Dowdy of Augusta; Laura Ellen McAvoy of Athens; Ginger McAvoy of Greensboro; Lee Harvey Durham and Lisa Lindsey Isham of Washington.
