Beth Lannae was guest of honor at a bridesmaids luncheon on Friday, May 5, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Lindsey on South Alexander Avenue. Hostesses for the occasion with Mrs. Lindsey were Mrs. Eddie Drinkard and Mrs. O.A. Denard Jr.

For the occasion Miss Lannae wore a blue and white toile strapless top and white pique pants.

As guests arrived, they were welcomed on the spacious front porch with Mimosas and Mrs. Denard's famous cheese ring, a favorite of the bride-elect. The porch was decorated with a custom floor cloth with the bride-elect's new monogram and a mobile of hearts, celadon and fuchsia ribbons suspended from the chandelier.

Tables were set in the dining room, living room and music room with fuchsia and celadon cloths topped with arrangements of roses, peonies, false blue indigo, lemon leaf and snapdragons.

Each guest attending was represented in a pictorial display including childhood pictures of the guests and bride-elect.

Guests were served a luncheon of spring greens salad, chicken cordon bleu, wild rice, French beans, and poppy muffins.

For dessert, a charm cake designed as a bridesmaid's dress was presented with each bridal attendant receiving a charm pulled from the cake.

The bride-elect presented her attendants with gifts after which the bridal party designed bouquets for the wedding rehearsal.

Thirty members of the wedding party attended with special guests, Mrs. Donald Rainey and Mrs. Glin Rainey of Buchanan; Mrs. Herb Cole of Lafayette; Mrs. Tommy Wells, Mrs. Lamont Lannae, and Mrs. Tom Wells of Washington.
