Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nelms enjoyed a visit Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Nelms and grandchildren, Corbett and Mary Virginia Nelms, at Lake Hartwell. +Mother's Day weekend guests of Mrs. Jane Garner were Nancy Garner of Dunwoody, Jim Garner of Athens and Phil Garner of Milledgeville. +Mrs. Mike Martin of Watkinsville enjoyed Mother's Day weekend with her mother, Mrs. Emmett Edwards. Mike Martin joined the family Sunday bringing a delicious dinner and flowers. +Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burton enjoyed Mother's Day weekend in Cleveland, Tenn., with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Burton and son, Callaway. While there, they had the pleasure of watching Callaway in two ballgames. +Mr. and Mrs. Mark Laudicina, Wyatt and Savannah, of Hanover, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Laudicina of Sykesville, Md., were weekend guests of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Waters. Others joining them for a Saturday luncheon were Mrs. James Johnson, Arvid Johnson of Atlanta, Mrs. Bob Murphy of Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Gresham and Mr. and Mrs. Will Johns, Ashlyn, Morgan, Camryn and Jaclynn of Marietta. +Celebrating Mother's Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wells were Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Herndon and Drew of Athens. Sunday luncheon guests also included Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Wells, Mrs. Martha Wells, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rainey of Evans and Amy Lannae of Athens. +Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Gresham of Marietta and Mrs. Bob Murphy of Bishop visited Friday and Saturday with Mrs. James Johnson. The Greshams also visited his mother, Mrs. Johnson Gresham. +Mother's Day weekend guests of Mrs. John Singleton Jr. were John Singleton III and Tommy Davis of Atlanta. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Phillips for a Mother's Day dinner at Watchmakers. Mr. and Mrs. Mell Phillips of Athens visited the week before with his mother, Mrs. Singleton.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Townsend of Atlanta visited Sunday with Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend, Garston and Henry. They also attended worship services Sunday morning at First Baptist Church where Henry was dedicated during a special Parent Child Dedication. All the family enjoyed dinner at Watchmaker's after the services.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moore enjoyed Mother's Day services in White Plains Baptist Church and with family, Rev. and Mrs. Curt Moore, Anna, Alli and Abby.
Mr. and Mrs. Harris Blackmon celebrated Mother's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hisaw in Martinez. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Blackmon of Newnan.
Mrs. Frank Story joined granddaughter, Tiffany Oliver of Milledgeville, for a weekend visit in LaGrange with Mr. and Mrs. Phil Oliver. Mrs. Brandon Solomon and daughter, Belle, of Newnan returned to Washington with Mrs. Story on Sunday and enjoyed several days visit.
Larry Tyler of Brookhaven visited Mother's Day with Mrs. James Tyler.
Mrs. Kirk Goodrick of Marietta enjoyed Mother's Day weekend with Mrs. Dennis Hopkins.
C. Carol Cartledge enjoyed the weekend in Franklin, N.C., with cousins, Mr. and Mrs. David Hawk. Saturday afternoon they were guests at a party given by former classmate, Dr. John Ezzard, at his home, The Winery, in Tiger. That evening they enjoyed a dinner party with other former classmates and friends at the home of cousin, Mrs. Gilbert Turner in Mountain City.
Doug Tyler of Norcross spent Mother's Day with Mrs. Richard Tyler. After attending services at the First United Methodist Church and having lunch at the Home Caf, they visited Mrs. Johnson Gresham and Miss Mary McClearen.
Charlie Burke of Statesboro enjoyed Mother's Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kip Burke.
Tad Hopkins of Lawrenceville visited Mother's Day with his grandmother, Mrs. Felton Corbett.

Jamey Wallace and Scott Williamson of Appling visited Mother's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wallace and Mrs. Robert Wallace.
Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Newsome, Molly Newsome, and Daniel Newsome of Macon celebrated Mother's Day weekend with Mrs. Frank Maloney in Doraville. Lizzie Newsome of Athens joined the family for church Sunday and dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floy Jumper in Buford.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gunter Jr. attended "Give My Regards to Broadway" at the UGA Fine Arts Theater in Athens Friday evening. This was the end of the year production of the Oconee Youth School of Performance in which granddaughters, Emmeline and Isabelle Hale, were participants in several song and dance routines.
Mrs. John Gentry Jr., Anna and Caroline, of Athens were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr.
