Watson-Brown Foundation helps Little Theater

Lauren Pinson, representing the Watson-Brown Foundation Junior Board of Trustees, presents a check to Nora Dukes for repairs to the entrances to the Washington Little Theater Company's Playhouse. "The Junior Board of Trustees is a talented group of local high school students whose exclusive mission is to preserve local history," Dukes said."Supported by area school systems, this educational initiative fosters civic responsibility, heightens an appreciation for local history, and introduces the students to the world of philanthropy."The Junior Board awards $25,000 in grants annually to worthwhile preservation projects in the CSRA. During the school year, the Junior Board conducts research, pre-grant inquiries, and site visits.
