Anna Jones, Executive Director of Economic Development for Elbert County, Georgia, spoke to the Washington Kiwanis Club at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 30. She discussed economic development strategies for county land use, population trend projections to 2030, proximity to major transportation hubs, small business, tourism, and technologybased business opportunities as the result of having high speed internet access. Jones, a member of the Elberton Kiwanis Club and Past President, is to be the Georgia Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor for Division 7 beginning in October. Bill Grant, her brother, was program host for the day.
