Wilkes County School personnel who are retiring at the end of the 20052006 school year were honored at the county-wide annual meeting Wednesday, May 24. Superintendent of Schools Joyce Williams (back, left) presented plaques to the retirees. Seated (l-r) are Patricia Hambsch, teacher at the Washington-Wilkes Primary School, Vernilla Clark, school secretary at the Washington-Wilkes Elementary School, Angie Strother, teacher at the Washington-Wilkes Middle School, and Mary Kay Hall, school nutrition manager at Washington-Wilkes Elementary School.
